Biography

Owners first, from every side of the work.

Shepherd Heery is one of the three co-founders of Brookwood Group. He currently divides his time between Atlanta, Georgia; Dallas, Texas; Ross, California; and Whitefish, Montana.

Shep served as Brookwood’s Chief Executive Officer from mid-2013 to 2026. He also previously served as Chairman/CEO from 1989-1997, when the firm was known as Satulah Group, and became Brookwood’s President when he returned to the firm in 2009.

At Brookwood, Shep has served as the Senior Principal for client relationships including Salesforce, Aflac, Wells Fargo Bank, Cal Poly, and the City of South San Francisco.
